Activities outside the curriculum

Activities organised by the school outside the curriculum are an essential feature of any international school. They provide ways of extending students’ skills and interests, and offering them an important social outlet.

Thanks to the many skills and talents of ICS staff, ICS can offer a wide range of co- and extra-curricular activities from Global Issues to a Guitar Club. Activities are arranged at different times of the week (lunchtimes and after-school) and for different age levels. There is no additional cost to students for taking part in these activities.

Here is the list of the many activities on offer to Secondary students at ICS in spring 2012. They include Maths Help, a Composers' Club, Unihockey, a Saxophone ensemble, Global Issues, Rock Bands and a club for older students preparing their University Applications.

There are also many activities for Primary students, such as arts & crafts, Lego, reading, indoor tennis and Violin Explorers. Three times a year, a list of Primary clubs is sent out and students can sign up for the activities they are interested in. These are the clubs running from March to June 2012.
