The Library
The Primary and Secondary Library is open to students, staff and parents throughout the school day to borrow books, work on projects, research via the internet or enjoy a favourite book or magazine.
Students can also access the ICS Library online at any time just by following this link to the ICS Library website. Click on the 'Library Catalog' tab and enter a search term (for example, 'Nigeria' or 'Electricty'), and the search will show all relevant books and e-books in the Library - plus links to age-appropriate websites under the 'Websites' tab. Students can also log in (using their school log-ins) and click on the 'My Info' tab to check which books they have borrowed.

The Library offers a wide variety of books and online resources including fiction, non-fiction and reference titles as well as audio, DVD and video resources. It houses has a growing collection of non-English language fiction, including books in French, Danish, German, Japanese, Dutch, Italian, Spanish and Hebrew. |
Depending on their age, students can borrow up to 8 resources for two weeks at at time. Staff can borrow as many resources as they like for a term. Parents can borrow up to 8 resources for 2 weeks and borrowing times can be extended.

Accessing library resources
A number of online library resources and databases can be accessed from home. Students can find all the details needed to log-in to these databases on page 9 of their Student Planners.
Continually updated, World Book is a student's best source for accurate and accessible information.
Bookflix is an excellent resource for Lower Primary students - and any students beginning to read English. It pairs quality fiction and nonfiction books on a wide variety of topics.
Brainpop offers animated Science, Health, Technology, Math, Social Studies, Arts & Music and English movies, quizzes, activity pages and school homework help for Grades K-12.
With EBSCO more than 300 full text and secondary databases highlighting Science and Literature are available via EBSCOhost alerts, RSS feeds and more..
An excellent resource for research, Enchanted Learning offers over 25,000 website pages of information on a wide variety of topics. Topic related games, colouring pages, and activities are also available.
